All the while I was investigating why the Stingrays crashed, I was thinking, it was probably the anomalies. It was cool to find the downed Stingrays and hunt down the various mutants including the bloodsuckers, controllers, and those strange dwarf mutants. The fear of an emission really added to the atmosphere and huddling up and experiencing an emission was rather fearful at times. The difficulty was greatly tone down from Clear Sky and the three main area design made it much more accessible and easier to manage. Overall I thought it was great and it brought back the mystique and atmosphere of Shadow of Chernobyl. When I came back on the 4th I started it up and after one hellova power gaming session last weekend, I finished it all, completing most of the side quests. Even on my new year's vacation, I could not escape the allure of the Steam sale, and thankfully I was able to snag Call of Pripyat from out of the country.
